“Hot day ahead, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun,” says Met Service

The National Meteorological Service of Belize is advising the public, particularly those in inland areas, to be cautious about going outside because weather conditions today will be hot.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies today and partly cloudy to clear skies tonight. No rainfall is expected.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 96 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 81 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 70 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Today’s advisory says, “Maximum temperatures are expected to exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit, especially over inland areas. Therefore all are asked to stay hydrated and stay in shady areas as much as possible!”

Winds will be blowing East-Southeast between 5‐15 knots and the sea state will be light chop.

High tide came in at 7:03 a.m. and low tide will occur at 11:46 a.m.

The sun will set at 6:06 p.m. and the moon will rise at 1:50 p.m.
