Vybz Kartel loses murder appeal

By BBN Staff: Popular dancehall icon, Vybz Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer and known affectionately to his fans as ‘World Boss’ has lost the appeal to his 2014 murder conviction in a judgement handed down from the Jamaican Court of Appeal this morning.

The court also upheld convictions for his co-accused, Shawn Storm, Kahira Jones and Andre St. John.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the decision was delivered by the panel of judges via conference call with attorneys for the four convicted.

In 2014, Kartel, Storm, Jones and St. John were convicted for the 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams at a home in St. Andrew, Jamaica.
