“Warm weather expected today,” says Met Service

The National Meteorological Service of Belize says that seasonably warm and dry conditions will continue today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny skies today and partly cloudy skies tonight. Little or no rainfall is expected.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 97 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees. Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

The Met Service has warned that the prolonged warm and dry conditions have increased the possibility of bush and forest fires.

Winds will be blowing East-Southeast between 5‐15 knots and the sea state will be light chop.

A low tide began at 4:41 a.m. and high tide will come in at 10:00 a.m.

The sun will set at 6:07 p.m. and the moon will rise at 7:02 p.m.
