Female minor confirmed as ninth COVID-19 patient

By Aaron Humes: The Ministry of Health says a female minor who is an immediate contact of a previously identified patient has become the ninth case of COVID-19 in Belize.

Hers was one of a further 30 samples for COVID-19 tested on April 8.

These included additional samples collected from the mapping exercises for patients #6 and #7 as well as samples from other health facilities across the country. This brings the total screened samples to 364.

An “Ask The Experts” session will be aired at 12 noon today at which further details are expected.
