“No Underwear” artist, Dexta Daps, arrested in Jamaica

By BBN Staff: Jamaican artist Louis Grandison, affectionately known as Dexta Daps, was scheduled to perform at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex in Belize on March 14th.

However, that performance was postponed amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

It now appears that the postponed concert may never happen.

That is because yesterday the “No underwear” artist was detained by police in Sea View Gardens, St. Andrews, Jamaica.

According to Jamaican news outlet, the artist was detained in connection with a shooting and his “Don Status” in the community.

Further details of the shooting have not yet been released but all indications are that the artist is being held at the Hunt’s Bay police station.

If Dexta Daps is arraigned, he will join Adidja Palmer also known as Vybz Kartel, Desmond Balentine also known as Ninja Man and a string of other artists arrested and charged for gun violence and criminal offenses.
