Belize Tax Service extends dates for payments of Business and General Sales Tax

By BBN Staff: The Belize Tax Service has issued a public notice informing that due to the national quarantine in the entire country of Belize, all its offices countrywide are closed to the public from April 13 to April 24, 2020.

The offices will re-open on April 27, 2020 and the employee withholding, Business and General Sales Tax for the month of March 2020 that were due on April 14 and 15 will now be due on April 27, 2020.

There will be no penalties and interests for these taxes that are to be paid on April 27, 2020.

The public is reminded however that all GST collected is collected on behalf of the Government of Belize and must be paid when due.
