Minister of Health: Patient #14 is close contact of patient #4

By BBN Staff: Minister of Health, Pablo Marin, informed the nation today that the patient who was identified as the 14^th case of Covid-19 in Belize is a close contact of patient #4 who passed away.

Patient 14 remains in self-isolation at home.

Marin says that the Ministry of Health continues its increased surveillance and asks that persons cooperate with the surveillance team and be honest while being interviewed.

In addition, Marin said that he is reminding all care-givers of COVID-19 patients to follow the advice of the Ministry of Health. Every person that has been placed in self-isolation or quarantine should keep doing so as instructed by the Ministry.

“Please stay home unless it is absolutely necessary to go outside please practice social distance and good hygiene,” he said.
