By Aaron Humes: Scotia Bank on Albert Street in downtown Belize City will be closed from April 14 to 17, after an employee reported an infection with COVID-19.
A statement from the bank says the employee is in self-isolation and cooperating with the Ministry of Health.
While the office is closed as a precautionary measure (it is expected to reopen next Monday, April 20), it is being deeply cleaned, fogged and sanitized per standards of the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO).
The bank’s Belama Branch on the Philip Goldson Highway remains open for deposits for businesses and ATMs for customers.
The bank apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
All banks will be operating under reduced hours starting Tuesday as the national quarantine order takes full effect following the Easter holiday.
