By BBN Staff: Today marks the second consecutive day that Belize has gone without a new case of COVID-19.

And so the number of positive active cases remain at 18 with half being women and another half being men.

On the other hand, the number of cases that have tested negative has climbed to 611. while the number of COVID-19 fatalities have remained at only 2.

Of note is that the number of cases currently under investigation by the Ministry of Health is now 46, representing the number of samples being processed for testing.

The 46 cases under investigation is an increase from the 5 listed yesterday, and demonstrates that the Ministry of Health has broadened and ramped up its testing efforts.

The Ministry of Health and other relevant authorities continues to stress the need for Belizeans to remain at home to avoid contact with COVID-19.
