By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Human Development, Social Transformation, and Poverty alleviation is calling on members of the public to volunteer to help with the distribution of relief aid.
The Ministry explained that over 7,000 applications came in for food assistance and its officers are working as best they can to get the care packages out but the effort is in dire need of more people to help the process go faster.
“We have been inspired by the volume of volunteers contacting us to help us work faster, and are opening up the process to the public,” the Ministry said.
Interested persons can register online at https://bit.ly/mhdvolunteer.
BBN applauds all Belizeans who are stepping up to help others as the country goes through this difficult time, and encourages all volunteers to be safe as they go about rendering assistance.
