Posted: Friday, April 17, 2020. 10:27 am CST.

The latest weather report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that seasonably warm and dry conditions are expected to continue today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today and partly cloudy to clear skies tonight. Little to no rainfall is expected.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 97 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 85 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

All Belizeans, particularly inland residents are warned to avoid direct sunlight whenever possible and keep hydrated. An advisory remains in effect for possible spontaneous bush and forest fires due to the extended period of heat.

Winds will be gusty, blowing East-Southeast between 10-20 knots and the sea state will be moderate. A small craft caution may come into
effect this afternoon for gusty winds and rough seas.

High tide came in at 7:15 a.m. and low tide will occur at 12:33 a.m.

The sun will set at 6:09 p.m. and the moon will rise at tomorrow at 3:05 a.m.
