Farmer dies in traffic accident

By BBN Staff: Just before 9 o’clock last night there was a fatal road traffic accident reported in Orange Walk.

When police visited an area near the San Estevan roundabout, cops saw the lifeless body of Octavio Antonio Cowo, 50.

Cowo, a farmer, was observed with severe head injuries.

About 20 yards away from him was an extensively damaged grey Mitsubishi pick up truck.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that Cowo was traveling in a northern direction when he lost control causing his vehicle to flip several times.

He was pronounced dead at 9:10 p.m. and was transported to the morgue at the Northern Regional Hospital.
