Heat wave continues

The National Meteorological Service of Belize’s latest weather report says that weather conditions will be hot and dry today.

The 24-hour forecast is for conditions to be sunny and hot today, then partly cloudy and warm tonight. No rainfall is expected.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 99 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Residents, particularly in inland areas are advised to seek shelter as much as possible and to keep hydrated. The possibility for spontaneous bush or forest fires remains high.

Winds will be gusty, blowing East-Southeast between 10‐20 knots and the sea state will be moderate.

High tide will come in at 8:16 a.m. and low tide will occur at 2:23 a.m.

The sun will set at 6:10 p.m. and the moon will rise at tomorrow at 4:16 a.m.
