Inland temperatures headed for 100 degrees as warm weather continues

Weather conditions will remain hot and dry country wide with inland areas feeling the most intense heat, according to the latest weather report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize.

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. No rainfall is expected.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 100 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 86 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

The advisories for residents to remain hydrated and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible remain in effect. The chance of spontaneous bush and forest fires remains high.

Winds will be gusty, blowing East-Southeast between 15‐25 knots and the sea state will be rough. A small craft warning is in effect for gusty winds and rough seas.

High tide will come in at 9:53 a.m. and low tide will occur at 4:54 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:11 p.m. and the moon will rise at tomorrow at 6:00 a.m.
