By BBN Staff: A mother and her two children of a Violet Lane address in Belize City have been arrested on charges of ‘kept prohibited firearm’ and ‘kept ammunition without a gun license’ after a police investigation and subsequent search of their home yielded an M4 carbine style assault rifle and several .223 rounds of ammo.
Lavorn Hemmans, 48; Lemar Flores, 30; and Temar Hemmans, 19 were arrested on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. at their residence following a police search as part of an unspecified investigation. During the search, police found the M4 carbine assault rifle and 18 live rounds of ammunition.
The trio were informed of the offense and then escorted to the Raccoon Street police station.
