Hot and dry conditions to continue

Posted: Saturday, April 25, 2020. 8:38 am CST.

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize says that hot, dry and hazy conditions will continue countrywide, especially for inland areas.

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with cloudy spells today.

No rainfall is expected.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 102 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 88 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

The risk of spontaneous bush and forest fires remains high. Residents, particularly those in inland areas, are advised to stay out of direct sunlight as much as possible and keep hydrated.

A small craft caution is in effect for locally rough seas.
