By Aaron Humes: Breaking Belize News arrived moments ago in Belmopan to find that no member of the press was allowed access inside the National Assembly, where the meeting of the House of Representatives is taking place.
It appears this was a last minute decision after agreement was initially made, in the case of television stations primarily, for video footage to be shared via the Press Office and live streaming service to be shared online.
The press was relegated to standing downstairs (six feet apart of course), waiting for the parliamentarians to complete proceedings.
After some discussion, the media was eventually allowed to enter the National Assembly to cover the House of Representatives meeting.
