Posted: Tuesday, April 28, 2020. 3:38 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Belize Embassy in Washington D.C. informs all Belizeans whose stay in the United States was extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic to visit the following site and fill out the necessary forms.

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) takes note of the ‘Special situation’ facing thousands of people in the United States who are unable to travel to their own countries due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“If you do not apply for the extension or change of status before your authorized period of admission expires, we may excuse the delay if it was due to extraordinary circumstances beyond your control,” the USCIS states.

The first form is for a request for extension of stay in the US.

Belizean nationals are urged to complete the forms and submit.
