By Aaron Humes: Inside the National Assembly this morning there will be debate on the 60-day extension of the State of emergency regulations in the Senate.
The resolution by Prime Minister Dean Barrow was narrowly approved Monday afternoon and goes to ratification by the Senate today.
The press is to observe subject to social distancing rules after initially being denied entry to the House yesterday.
Today’s Senate meeting proceeds with a quorum of four Senators – Leader of Government Business Godwin Hulse; Leader of Opposition Business Michel Chebat; Government Senator, Attorney General and Minister of National Security Michael Peyrefitte, and Senator for Trade Unions and Civil Society Elena Smith, plus President Darrell Bradley.
