The National Meteorological Service of Belize says that hot and dry weather will continue for the entire country today, but certain parts of the country may see some reprieve from the heat later on.
The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. Little or no rainfall is expected, except for the chance of an isolated thunderstorm inland this afternoon and over the south tonight
Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 96 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
“Residents in inland areas are advised to remain hydrated and avoid outdoor activity as much as possible. Also the risk for bush and forest fires remain high,” the Met Service said.
Winds will be blowing East between 5-15 knots and the sea state will be light chop.
Low tide occurred at 6:40 a.m. and high tide will come in at 12:40 p.m.
The sun will set at 6:12 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 9:44 a.m.
