By BBN Staff: On today’s session of Ask the Experts, Dr. Neulin Villanueva, Deputy Chief Education Officer at the Ministry of Education, spoke about the initiatives being rolled out by the ministry for continued learning during the State of Emergency noting that some of the materials are still being worked on.

Villanueva explained that online resources, printed packages, and radio broadcasts have been made available for students at the pre-school and primary school level, while Technical and Vocational schools are still working on their learning continuity plans, which should be in by Friday. TVET institutions are also preparing a new print package called Learners Link which, will be distributed to grocery stores for parents to pick up.

“We are asking that those who have electronic access we are asking them to print for themselves and leave the print copies for the ones who do not have access,” Villanueva said.

She noted that students at TVET schools will have to complete job training and practical assessments at the opening of the new school year.
