Weather to remain warm and mostly dry

The National Meteorological Service of Belize’s latest weather report says that warm and mostly dry weather will prevail throughout the day.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today and partly cloudy tonight. Little or no rainfall is expected, except for the chance of isolated showers or isolated thunderstorms over the south.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 97 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 85 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

A warning for the high possibility of spontaneous bushfires remains in place. Residents, particularly in inland areas, are advised to keep hydrated and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.

Winds will be blowing East-Southeast between 5-15 knots and the sea state will be choppy.

Low tide occurred at 7:30 a.m. and high tide will come in at 1:15 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:12 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 10:40 a.m.
