BREAKING: Four (4) more patients recover from COVID-19

Posted: Thursday, April 30, 2020. 9:25 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The daily infographic prepared by the Ministry of Health and posted a short while ago on the Government of Belize Press Office indicates that more patients have recovered from COVID-19.

From the 18 positive cases identified in Belize, 13 have now officially recovered and 3 remain active and positive, while two have succumbed to the virus.  The 13 recovered patients include 8 females and 5 males, and of the 3 active cases, 2 are males and 1 is a female.

A total of 1043 tests have been completed to date and 35 cases remain under investigation.

While this is good news, it is recommended that social distancing remain in place and adhered to so that the chances of any further spread is limited.

Additionally, it is mandatory for persons out in the public to wear a face mask or face penalties for not doing so.
