Posted: Thursday, April 30, 2020. 11:56 am CST.

By BBN Staff: Prime Minister Dean Barrow said today in a virtual interview with the press that the move by the San Pedro Town Council to provide a bulletin with its own modified regulations is ‘absolutely improper’.

Barrow said that he was presented with a bulletin that was reportedly being issued by the Mayor of San Pedro, the area representative and the local emergency operations center.

Barrow says that in their Cabinet meeting, he spoke to Area Representative, Manuel Heredia and explained that it cannot be allowed to continue.

In addition, Barrow says that he warned the authorities to cease and desist otherwise he will have to instruct the law enforcement authorities to carry out what is necessary under the law.

Barrow added that he understood local authorities felt it necessary to implement additional measures and that it was done with good intentions, but it cannot be allowed.
