By Aaron Humes: Prime Minister Dean Barrow announced that from Friday, Belize turns the corner with a new set of regulations governing the state of emergency that goes into effect at that time.
He noted that Belize has now gone 17 days without a confirmed case of COVID-19 and that there was no need to worry about a tighter level of restrictions and that there is significant ease of access, but by no means is it mission accomplished.
Belize, he says, must prepare if necessary for a second wave of cases, as we are facing a cunning enemy, but for now there is a breathing space for a number of government and approved private sector businesses to open.
