Generally fair weather to prevail

The latest weather report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that fair weather will prevail today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for generally fair with only isolated showers or thunderstorms mainly inland and the south this afternoon.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 94 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 83 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Due to the ongoing drought conditions, a warning for the high possibility of spontaneous bushfires remains in place. Residents, particularly in inland areas, are advised to keep hydrated and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.

Winds will be blowing East between 5-10 knots and the sea state will be light chop.

High tide came in at 5:28 a.m. and low tide will occur at 10:12 a.m.

The sun will set at 6:13 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 12:39 p.m.
