Fair weather prevails

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize says that fair weather conditions are expected to continue today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny with a few cloudy spells today and partly cloudy tonight. Showers will be isolated, along with possible isolated thunderstorms over the extreme south.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 95 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 83 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

As high temperatures continue, the advisory for a high possibility of spontaneous bushfires remains in place. Residents, particularly in inland areas, are advised to keep hydrated and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.

Winds will be blowing East between 5-15 knots and the sea state will be slight.

High tide came in at 7:35 a.m. and low tide will occur at 1:53 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:14 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 3:40 p.m.
