Saint Ignatius High plans virtual graduation; honor roll students will be highlighted in media

By BBN Staff: Saint Ignatius High School in Santa Elena, Cayo is planning for fourth form students to participate in the first virtual graduation.

COVID-19 has brought many challenges to the education sector including the cancellation of diploma exams among other things. But, the students have submitted their project and school based assessments for teachers to grade.

Those students that worked arduously from first to fourth form are expecting to graduate as the Class of 2020.

The class of 2020 as well as their educators and administrators are faced with this unprecedented challenges and one of the most exciting days is graduation.

The school has now formed a committee that is working on the logistics of the graduation that is expected to take place on May 30, 2020. As any other graduation, the school will hold their virtual mass on May 24, 2020.

As for students who excelled, Valedictorian, Salutatorian and honor roll students will be highlighted in the media to honor them for their performance.
