Posted: Tuesday, May 5, 2020. 3:18 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: On May 4, 2020, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Belize donated over 300 hygiene kits to the Department of Human Services in support of the COVID-19 relief efforts.

The items in the hygiene kit include toilet paper, soap, body wash, loofah, deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrush.

IOM says that the items were customized to the needs of women, men, and children.

The Department of Human Services assists most vulnerable members of society including migrant families, women, and girls facing gender-based violence, sexual exploitation, and human trafficking.

“IOM Belize is honored to partner with the Ministry of Human Development, Social Transformation, and Poverty Alleviation to provide assistance to the most vulnerable populations during this crisis,” a statement from IOM said.
