Dr. Colin Young appointed as new chairman of Social Security Board

By BBN Staff: The Government informed today that Dr. Colin Young has been appointed as the new chairman of the board of directors for the Social Security Board.

His appointment is effective as of today, May 6.

Young succeeds Douglas Singh who resigned in April 2020.

Dr. Young is currently the Executive Director of the Caribbean Community Climate Change Center.

Prior to this, he served as the CEO of the Social Security Board from 2017 to 2019.

Dr. Young also served as CEO in the Ministries of Agriculture and Energy for the Government of Belize and has served on the boards of various organizations both locally and internationally.
