“More showers and thunderstorms expected as weather becomes unstable,” says Met Service

By BBN Staff: After an extended period of hot and dry weather, the National Meteorological Service of Belize reports that weather conditions will be moist and unstable today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for skies to be cloudy at times with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mostly over southern and central areas of the country.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 95 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East between 5-15 knots and the sea state will be light choppy.

High tide will come in at 8:47 a.m. and low tide will occur at 3:42 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:14 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 5:43 p.m.
