More showers expected

The latest weather report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that moist and unstable conditions prevail over the country today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with some showers occurring over most places. Thunderstorms will affect mostly northern and central areas today, then become isolated and occur mainly over the south tonight.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 90 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East-Northeast between 5-15 knots and the sea state will be light chop.

High tide will come in at 9:26 a.m. and low tide will occur at 4:34 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:15 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 6:47 p.m.
