By BBN Staff: On May 6, the Social Security Board donated $200,000 to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH). The donation is to support a new oncology unit in Belize.
The donation will be used to purchase medical equipment for the functioning and operation of the new unit.
The Oncology unit aims to provide medical care to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment for various types of cancer.
The SSB handed over the donation to Michelle Hoare, CEO and Dr. Ramon Yacab who accepted it on behalf of the KHMH.
SSB says that it continues to take great interest in improving health and wellness of those in the community.
