By BBN Staff: Prime Minister Dean Barrow said today that if there are no new positive COVID-19 cases over the weekend, the Government of Belize will further relax the State of Emergency regulations.

Barrow said this morning that the relaxation of measures will allow for cross-district movement for local tourism purposes. These measures will include persons being allowed to walk along the beach and swim in the sea; however, Barrow stressed that the openeing of the country’s borders before July is unlikely.
