Posted: Monday, May 11, 2020. 8:23 am CST.

By BBN Staff: Police are investigating a case of aggravated burglary that occurred just before 1 o’clock this morning.

Michael Avilez, 61, told authorities that he was inside his one bedroom house on Marage Road in Ladyville when two dark complexion men entered.

One of them was armed with a knife while the other was armed with a handgun.

The assailants demanded cash and when the victim took long to comply, he was stabbed two times to the left side of his chest and was then hit above the right eye brow with the hand gun.

He then handed over to the two assailants $110 after which they escaped.

Two of the victim’s neighbors were later detained for questioning.
