Dolly, Nana, Teddy among storm names for 2020

By BBN Staff: The Atlantic Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30.

The 2020 hurricane season may be an above average season.

The Colorado State University Tropical Meteorology Project team has forecasted for about 16 names storms, including 8 hurricanes this year.

A hurricane is defined as a tropical cyclone with maximum sustained winds of 74 miles per hour or higher.

The names of storms are selected from 6 rotating lists updated by the World Meteorological Organization.

When storms are deadly, the names are no longer used.

The names for the 2020 Atlantic Hurricane season are:
