Rains coming to an end

The latest weather report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that relatively drier conditions will prevail during the next couple of days.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. Showers will be isolated, with the chance of isolated thunderstorms developing over the Maya mountains this afternoon.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 94 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing North-northeast at 00-10 knots becoming East-southeast at 5-15 knots and the sea state will be light chop.

Low tide began at 7:05 a.m. and high tide will come in at 1:12 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:16 p.m. and the moon will rise today at 11:38 p.m.
