Belizean stranded at Northern border detained by police

By BBN Staff:  Belizean national, Guillermo Foreman, who had been stranded for days at the Northern border has been detained by police.

The Belmopan resident shared with the media his ordeal after traveling by road from the United States via Mexico and then being denied entry into his home country when he arrived.

Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams informed today Foreman is in police custody and he will be swabbed today for COVID-19.

“As soon as the result is obtained if negative he will be charged and taken to court,” Williams said.
