NEMO Minister provides food for frontline workers

Posted: Wednesday, May 13, 2020. 7:06 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: As a show of gratitude and appreciation to frontline workers in the battle against COVID-19, Minister of Transport and National Emergency Management, Edmond Castro, today provided meals for rural nurses stationed at Ladyville, as well as personnel at the cargo section of the Customs Department.

Castro participated in the preparation and delivery of the meals, a key ingredient in which is ‘Papa Jeff Smoked Beef’ produced at Castro’s own farm and processing facility.

Castro says that he is happy to have been able to offer what was, in his words, a small token of appreciation for a tremendous service and sacrifice by these essential workers to the entire country in the midst of a national and global crisis.

The nurses and customs workers were, for their part, greatly appreciative of the gesture.
