Fair weather expected today

The latest general forecast produced by the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that generally fair weather conditions are expected to prevail today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with cloudy spells today and cloudy at times tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated, especially over the south today, then increasing over most areas tonight.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 98 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 75 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

All residents, particularly those inland, are advised to avoid outdoor activities as much as possible and to keep hydrated.

Winds will be blowing East-Southeast at 10-20 knots and the sea state will be moderate.

High tide came in at 6:52 a.m. and low tide will occur at 1:14 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:18 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 2:51 a.m.
