By BBN Staff: Police operations last night lead to the discovery of a stash of marijuana and ammunition in Belize City.

The police department said that officers searched an abandoned lot on Marigold Lane around 8:15 p.m. and found a black plastic bag that contained one 5.56 magazine holding 19 live rounds of 5.56 ammunition, and a plastic bag that contained 27.3 grams (a little under an ounce) of suspected cannabis.

No one was in the area at the time so the items were sealed and label and as found property.
