Inconveniences persist at Baking Pot Ferry

Posted: Wednesday, May 20, 2020. 11:37 am CST.

By BBN Staff: Several workers have contacted BBN sharing their concern over the unattended Baking Pot Ferry.

Due to COVID-19 most businesses have closed and therefore, the ferry had not been operating.

However, after some relaxation of the measures, businesses in Spanish Lookout are now re-opening and workers usually use the ferry to commute to and from work.

The workers say that since the ferry is still not operating, they travel way around Blackman Eddy and spend more time and fuel to arrive at work.

The workers are asking the authorities to resume the operating of the ferry is possible.
