Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization donates additional viral swabs to Belize

By BBN Staff: On May 20, the Central Medical Laboratory of Belize received an additional 3000 viral swabs from the Pan American Health Organization/ World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Belize country office.

The viral swabs are an essential component for the testing of COVID-19.

With much appreciation, the Acting Director of the laboratory, Juvencio Chan, received the swabs on behalf of the Ministry of Health.

“Thank you for your continued support against COVID-19,” Chan expressed.

PAHO/WHO Belize continues to support the country in strengthening the health system to effectively respond to COVID-19.
