Network of NGO’s mourns passing of Candy Gonzalez

By BBN Staff: The Belize Network of Non-Governmental Organizations issued a statement mourning the passing of passionate environmental advocate, Dr. Candy Gonzalez.

“As an attorney and advocate, Dr. Gonzalez was a force to be reckoned with. Her colleagues in Belize and abroad will always remember Candy as a driving presence of a number of organizations including the Belize Institute of Environmental Law and Policy (BELPO), the Coalition to Save Our Natural Heritage, and the Belize Alliance of Conservation NGOs (BACONGO),” a statement said.

Candy’s dedication and relentless work has helped to conserve the health and integrity of Belize’s natural resources for generations to come.

Officials from several environmentalist organizations extended messages of sympathies to Gonzalez family:
