Director of Health Services: ‘All persons in quarantine will be screened before release’

By BBN Staff: The Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero today assured Belizeans that everyone who is in quarantine (including those entering illegally) will be routinely screened before being released from the quarantine facility.

Manzanero says that as more Belizeans are being brought back home, the Ministry will commence reviewing the cases individually and determine their quarantine periods.

Some Belizeans who may have been screened on cruise ships – their quarantine period may not be 14 days.

However, Manzanero said that would be determined on an individual basis.

Manzanero also said that Belizeans seeking repatriation must go through a process that is reviewed by Immigration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Health officials.
