Director of Health Services: “Close to 500 enlisted to return home”

By BBN Staff: Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero explained that close to 500 people have applied to return home.

Among those planning to return home are students, people who were attending training, people who left for family emergencies, people who quit their jobs and tourists.

Manzanero advised those wishing to return home to fill out the application and then wait for guidance from Belizean authorities on how to proceed.

Manzanero also reminded that the borders remain closed.

Everyone returning will be sent to a mandatory quarantine facility. Manzanero says this is necessary to safeguard the health of those coming home and those at home.
