Fifty-five samples return negative for COVID-19, Belize remains free of any confirmed case

By BBN Staff: Today, 55 tested samples for COVID-19 returned negative, according to the Office of the Director of Health Services (DHS).

“While we remain on a positive note, we keep a close eye on the growing numbers in all the countries around us where most countries continue with increasing epidemics,” the DHS said.

To date, there have been 1,572 tests done with 18 confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic, 16 recoveries, and two deaths. According to the DHS, 16 cases are under investigation.

Belize has now gone six weeks without a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the country.
