Police find human remains on George Price Highway

By BBN Staff: Police have found a dead body buried in a shallow grave at Mile 3 on the George Price Highway in an area behind the Tapir Bar.

Reports are that the officers searched the area sometime around 6:30 p.m. yesterday after receiving information about the body. When officers searched the scene they found what appeared to be a pelvis bone, buried in a hole about 1-foot deep. The officers took pictures of the scene but could not take any more action because the area was
very dark and swampy.

They reportedly left the body at the site and returned early this morning to process the scene. The body has not yet been identified and is currently listed as a John Doe.
