Five Mexican nationals in quarantine after being busted entering Belize illegally

By BBN Staff: Reports to BBN indicate that 5 Mexican nationals were busted entering Belize illegally on Sunday.

The men were caught by the Belize Coast Guard and are now in mandatory quarantine.

The men were reportedly drifting west of San Pedro and upon seeing authorities, they tried to escape.

The men reportedly told authorities that they were heading to Chetumal but drifted away due to the weather.

The men were found with empty fuel gallons and didn’t have identification on them.

The men were detained for illegal entry and taken into quarantine.

Investigation is on-going.
