Police offer reward for Benjamin Reid’s killer

By BBN Staff: The Belize Police Department is offering a reward for the person/persons responsible for the murder of 23-year-old Maskall resident Benjamin Reid.

The department says that the reward can be as much as $2,000 for information leading up to the arrest and charge of the killer/killers.

Those with information are urged to call the Crime Stoppers Belize hotline at 922 or the nearest police precinct.

Reid was last seen alive on May 14, in Belize City. Authorities found his body in a shallow grave around Mile 3 off the George Price Highway on Sunday. His post mortem examination revealed that he died from gunshot wounds to the head.
